Larry R. Andrus, Founder and CEO

Achieving satisfaction through the success of others is a great mission in life.

With over 50 years of sales, leadership and ownership experience, Larry is no stranger to service to clients and supporting his teams.  Larry sold his company Trivalent Group to Rehmann in 2018 and worked with them on the transition.  Prior to acquiring Trivalent Group in 2002, he spent 15 years in the high-end technology leasing industry, serving as Vice President of the Central Region for AT&T Capital.  He started his career with Burroughs Corporation working in sales, sales management, Great Lakes District product management and then as one of the youngest branch managers in the country.

Larry frequently emphasizes when meeting with clients and prospects that he can help them be more efficient with their business processes and technology so that they can focus on their core business.  Larry values trust from client relationships and wants to make a difference.

Perhaps more impressive than his business acumen is his commitment to service, philanthropy and civic engagement.  He served as President of the Grand Rapids Jaycees and Foundation, Chair of the Better Business Bureau, Board of the Comprehensive  Therapy Center, the Advisory Board for the Autism Support of Kent County and campaign cabinet for Make-A-Wish of Michigan.  Passionate about education he is a Trustee Emeritus of Alma College after serving 12 years on the Board of Trustees and 6 years on the Alumni Board.  He was elected to their Athletic Hall of Fame in 2007 and was the recipient of the 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award.  Prior to that he spent 12 years on Catholic Schools boards in the Grand Rapids area.

I have known Larry Andrus for nearly 20 years.  Over the years, I have gained respect for his values, integrity and willingness to help his employees, clients and the community.

Ken Brower started his career in 1978 with Meijer, where he managed teams to increase efficiency in inventory levels, forecasting of future sales volumes and setting standards for customer service. This included market trends for customer and market initiatives. In 1988, he joined the Remex Corporation, managing the Professional Services division. This included managing the technical engineers, network design, project management and more.  In 2003, Remex merged with Trivalent Group, creating one of the largest IT Services firms in Michigan. At Trivalent, Ken established the VCIO practice, which helped double the services growth of the combined entities over the next five years.

In 2008, Ken became the Director of Information Technology for Cherry Health, building a team that would eventually support 300 providers and 1,200 employees across 22 locations. Some of his significant achievements were the enterprise rollout of electronic medical records, updating applications and managing the merger of three organizations across four practice areas (medical, dental, vision and behavioral health) into a single “one-patient” approach in multiple languages.

In 2021, Ken retired from Cherry Health and started KJB Consulting to provide consulting, project management and other services.

It was a pleasure being a partner with Larry, he remains a close and trusted friend and I am looking forward to working together again!

In 1976, Mike Noordyke started his career in Sales with Remex Corporation, an office equipment reseller and service provider.  Initially, the primary products were typewriters, calculators and adding machines.  As the market evolved, beginning in 1980 Mike led the transition to the computer and IT services business with HP.  As the Executive VP, over the next few years Mike significantly grew the Remex revenue. He purchased the business in 1998 and served as President and CEO until merging with Trivalent Group in 2003.  During the next twelve (12) years, Trivalent transitioned six (6) other businesses in by “Bringing the Best Together.”

Working side-by-side with Larry Andrus, they put together the strategies, culture and empowerment to create one company with one vison. As President of Trivalent Group, he helped the business continue to grow to over $20 million. This period led to over 190 months of continued profitability, business growth and people development.  In addition, the company had nine (9) consecutive years as a Top 100 in the world Managed Services Provider.

In 2016, Mike partially retired and has been providing consulting services to entities in western Michigan.  Mike also chaired a CEO Roundtable for the GR Chamber of Commerce and was very active in the OPDA industry peer group.
